What is the School of Spiritual Formation?
The School of Spiritual Formation gives the opportunity for students to be intimately involved in the services, ministries, and events put on by Capital Church. The teaching staff and pastors of Capital Church are committed to personally mentoring and training the students. It is our heart to help them discover the unique gifts, talents, and callings that God has for their lives. The mission of the School of Spiritual Formation is to equip young people to fulfill what God has put in their hearts to do; to build a strong foundation for their lives.
Our School of Spiritual Formation is a 9-month commitment for anyone between the ages of 18-30 who have completed high school and can commit to the FULL requirements of the program and its schedule. The school is designed to reshape their lives to center around Jesus and His Kingdom and is a season set aside to learn how to cultivate a biblical worldview, a strong foundation of biblical doctrine, and a lifestyle of spiritual discipline and self-government.
We believe the Kingdom of Jesus is built on sacrificial love and generosity, and that we are most like Jesus when we serve. Students of the School of Spiritual Formation will get the opportunity to help serve through various projects and get the chance to be a valuable part of Capital Church and our city. Serving our church and community is one of the major components of each students experience.
Students will be taught and personally mentored by our amazing pastors and teachers as well as guest speakers from around the nation and locally.
TIME
The School of Spiritual Formation is a 9-month program that runs from September to May. It’s made up of two semesters that include holiday breaks from Thanksgiving and Christmas as well as a Spring Break.

Tuesday:
9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Wednesdays:
9:00 am – 3:00 pm and 5:30 pm-9:30 pm
Thursday:
5:30 pm – 9:30 pm
TUITION
The cost of this school tuition covers course materials, supplies, guest speakers, lecture hours, retreats, and other program-related expenses.

Application Process
We are so excited God lead you to be a part of our School of Spiritual Formation. There are multiple steps to our application process including a personal 1-1 interview so please apply as soon as possible.
1. Please fill out the application below. The application fee of $40 is due upon completion of application.
2. A parent and leader reference are to be submitted before your interview. You can download these forms by clicking the buttons below (for questions regarding reference forms please email interns@capitalchurch.co).
3. A background check is required for all applicants, please print and fill out the background check form below to be submitted on or before your personal interview.
